Origin     - Piedmont,  Italy
Estate     - Monforte d’Alba – Cru Pajana della Ginestra
Soil and characteristics - Slightly sandy, calcareous and limestone-based
Vines      - Barbera 50%, Nebbiolo 40%, Merlot 10% 
Planting density - Guyot, 4,500 vines per hectare
Harvesting time  - Beginning of October, hand harvest
Production method - Fermentation in steel barrels for 11 days and refinement in Slavonian oak barrels (30 hl) and barriques

Yield per hectare (at harvest)  - 75 ql.
Alcohol         - 14%
Ph                 - 3,42 acidity
Colour          - Intense ruby red, purple reflections
Bouquet       - Delicate, floral and spicy, fruity with a delicate scent of liquorice
Flavour         - Balanced and intense: the elegant and firm structure is complemented by fresh fruit and round supple spice notes

Ars Vivendi, a blended wine, is an intriguing mix of Nebbiolo, Barbera and Merlot refined in Slavonian oak with a final light touch of barrique. The wine is complex, full and dry, with a bouquet ranging from violet and marasca cherry scents, to concentrated ripe fruit and spice.
